Position Summary:

The Sales Director will lead the accounts in our Industrial Spice platform and will be a significant contributor to ofi’ s strategy in managing large existing accounts and driving key business development initiatives. You will be responsible for sales performance on assigned large accounts, while growing new and lapsed customer relationships.  As a leader among your peers, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by collaborating with product line leadership on developing and executing strategic sales initiatives through partnership with other sales team members.  You will leverage sales and negotiation strategies to deliver results across all customer channels including Flavor & Ingredients, CPG, Food Service, Spice Blenders/Bottlers, and Distributors. 

 

The ideal candidate is business-oriented and curious to learn about new products and explore the needs of the customers that contribute to long-term, profitable growth for the company. You will lead contract negotiations and guide the solution sales process, collaborating with internal stakeholders on critical projects to optimize ofi’s product solution portfolio with the customers’ team in innovation, procurement, and co-manufacturing.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop long-term partnerships with key accounts and new customers that result in increased solution sales and margins and value for the broader business.
  • Develop and execute executive strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Guide the current and new sales process, articulating a path forward for customers with support from internal stakeholders, considering internal capabilities, constraints, competitive circumstances, and strategic priorities.
  • Understand current and new customers’ needs and solutions to form an aligned customer facing strategic plan for short term and long-term partnership and growth for assigned accounts.
  • Initiate and lead all solutions negotiations with assigned key accounts and new accounts to grow sales volume and margins.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with customers’ key decision makers and senior management across multiple departments.
  • Understand customer needs and present tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development and marketing to ensure alignment of sales strategy and product solutions with technical and operational capabilities. Drive projects and customer-driven solutions and engage internal stakeholders to understand current capabilities required to deliver solutions and profitable growth.
  • Establish regular cadence of communications with internal senior stakeholder groups, reviewing strategic account plans, pipeline progress, and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Work closely with support teams to ensure excellence in customers KPIs, contract execution, and working capital management.
  • Lead product line sales initiatives through effective leadership with sales peers, cross-functional engagement, and reporting/tracking.

Position Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree is required, major in Food Science preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in day-to-day management of large, complex      food processing, manufacturing or foodservice national accounts required. Business-to-business sales experience, strong general business capabilities, P&L management and analytical/technical skills are required.
  • Experience managing relationships with customers and internal stakeholders is required.
  • Strong self-initiative with an ability to operate at a high level with minimum supervision is required.
  • The ability and willingness to travel is required, up to 50%.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships at all levels is required.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Customer Operations Manager, the Export Documentation Specialist should have a strong background in preparing and managing export documents for international shipments. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience handling export documentation and a thorough understanding of export procedures, compliance requirements, and international trade standards.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review export documentation, including Letters of Credit (LC), shipping instructions, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other related documents
  • Ensure all documentation complies with LC terms, international trade regulations, and company policies
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams, freight forwarders, banks, and shipping lines to ensure accurate and timely documentation

Position Summary

  • Work with the Sales Director to manage existing customer relationships, both directly and indirectly through a network of industry brokers (as needed).
  • Work with the Sales Director to manage relationships with industry brokers, positioning Olam Peanut Shelling as a preferred supplier choice in the peanut industry.
  • Develop new accounts and drive sales volume growth for our peanut products in the US market and export markets, as deemed appropriate.
  • Deepen our understanding of the market and the requirements of our customers.
  • Analyzing and arranging complex market and industry numbers to provide clear and concise next steps for management decision making. 
  • Work with the Customer Service / Logistics group to manage and move excess inventory in the most cost effective manner possible.
  • Work with the Accounting / Finance team to resolve any accounting related issues with customers, as needed.
  • Represent ofi / Olam Peanut Shelling in a positive light when / if asked to serve on various industry membership committees (American Peanut Sheller Association, American Peanut Council, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the peanut industry, or other relevant field.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Sales Manager will be a critical member of the sales team, helping to both maintain current business and build new business within the Peanut Shelling business.  The Sales Manager will lead contract negotiations with customers and grow business by building new opportunities and defending against competitive threats. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success working with internal resources to further develop relationships with key accounts and building competitive advantage with our customers through strategic use of business-specific resources. 

Position Responsibilities 

  • Work with the Sales Director to develop and implement a strategic sales plan on a customer-specific basis in order to meet and/or exceed corporate sales objectives.
  • Work with the Sales Director to manage existing customer relationships, both directly and indirectly through a network of industry brokers (as needed).
  • Work with the Sales Director to manage relationships with industry brokers, positioning Olam Peanut Shelling as a preferred supplier choice in the peanut industry.
  • Develop new accounts and drive sales volume growth for our peanut products in the US market and export markets, as deemed appropriate.
  • Deepen our understanding of the market and the requirements of our customers.
  • Analyzing and arranging complex market and industry numbers to provide clear and concise next steps for management decision making. 
  • Work with the Customer Service / Logistics group to manage and move excess inventory in the most cost effective manner possible.
  • Work with the Accounting / Finance team to resolve any accounting related issues with customers, as needed.
  • Represent ofi / Olam Peanut Shelling in a positive light when / if asked to serve on various industry membership committees (American Peanut Sheller Association, American Peanut Council, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the peanut industry, or other relevant field.
  • Strong working knowledge of peanut industry supply chain is preferred.
  • Business-to-business sales experience; strong general business acumen, profit and loss management and analytical and technical skills are preferred.
  • Experience managing relationships with customers and internal stakeholders is preferred.
  • Strong self-initiative, with the ability to operate at a high level with minimum supervision is required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Reporting to the Customer Operations Manager, the Export Documentation Specialist should have a strong background in preparing and managing export documents for international shipments.   • High School Diploma is required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • ERP system experience is required; SAP is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry practices, terminology, and settlement process is preferred.
  • Strong practical accounting, analytical and organizational skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, and Word is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team is required.
  • Capacity to multi-task and switch between tasks fluidly while setting and adhering to deadlines is required. Must be able to solve problems and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in export documentation
  • Strong knowledge of SLIs, LCs, and international trade documentation
  • Thorough understanding of export procedures, compliance, and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities
  • Proficiency with export documentation systems and standard office software
 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in food ingredients, agriculture, manufacturing, or FMCG industries 
  • Knowledge of logistics, export/import processes, or demand planning 
  • Ability to work with global customers and cross-functional teams 
  • Multilingual skills are a plus 
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and international shipping practices
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
 
The pay for this role in the state of CA is between $22.00- $28.00 per hour and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location.
