Job Description:
The Production Operators are responsible for tending to production machinery that processes peanuts.

Primary Responsibilities:
 Assist the production line by starting and shutdown of various processing equipment, setting operating equipment controls of equipment and adjusting settings to meet customer specifications of product
 Perform quality checks throughout the shift to determine accuracy of control settings and to determine if customer specifications are met. Changes may be necessary by opening and closing valves, turning knobs to adjust settings to bring product into the specifications required by customer.
 Record process data accurately and in a timely manner per specification time tables for each lot processed. Legible handwriting and ability to perform basic math functions are necessary.
 Main records in a clean, neat and legible manner for each lot processed.
 Clean area of responsibility and equipment in areas throughout shift and ensure that area is clean at shift change
 Inspects product rejections and samples to ensure product is produced is per customer specification
 Notify Senior Processing Tech or Shift Supervisors of any equipment shut downs or any problems with the quality of processed or produced product.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring all shipments arrive on time and within budget. This position will monitor and oversee the outgoing and incoming shipping activities to verify items are shipping to the correct location and in good condition.

Position Responsibilities 

• Supervise and assist all shipping personnel in the preparation and shipping of finished products from the Shelling Plant and Cold Storage.
• Inspect tote bags and pallets before shipping the product and correct any discrepancies found prior to loading.
• Inspect dry trailers, refrigerated trailers, bulk railcars, bulk trucks, and box railcars before loading and correct any deficiencies or reject equipment to be loaded.
• Ensure there are no risks to the product of cross contamination from incoming or outgoing trucks.  Inspect all outgoing trucks prior to loading for any issues.
• Inspect and reject trailers that do not meet Olam and customer requirements, ensure proper documentation of all reasons for rejecting.
• Ensure shipping employees are trained on allergens, cross contamination, and proper sanitation techniques.             
• Oversee forklift repairs by contracted companies.  Ensure outside contractors adhere to all food safety, occupational safety, and preventive control policies.
• Understand and execute the actual loading/shipping process.
• Understand and operate the bulk loading equipment.
• Ensure all shipping documents and seals are correct and in place.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary storage area as described in the Safe Food Plan and Preventive Controls. Maintain records required for the master sanitation schedule.
• Assist the Plant Manager in maintaining the Food Safety, Occupational Safety, and Preventive Controls Plan.
• Understand and operate the oil stock equipment and ensure oil stock numbers are given to Federal/State Inspectors.
• Understand and execute the transfer of lots from one lot number to another.

• Provides leadership and supervision for teams to execute cleaning and sanitizing to an effective level as defined by verification methods (visual inspection, ATP, APC testing, and finished product EB monitoring, etc.).

Ensures sanitation team clearly understands all safety rules and regulations, has received appropriate training, and that their work performance is in accordance with all applicable regulations.
• Partners with the Quality Manager/Plant Manager to develop and oversee the department’s operating budget, ensuring that proper procedures are followed, and expenses are within budgeted guidelines.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science & Technology, Food Microbiology Biology or related field required.
• Three-Five (3-5) years of experience applying broad sanitation technical knowledge applicable to food safety in a food, meat, dairy, ingredient, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment required. 
• Progressive sanitation supervision experience in an FDA or USDA regulated food manufacturing facility is preferred.
• Combination of wet and dry sanitation leadership experience in driving a robust and sustainable sanitation program in CPG manufacturing is required.

• Responsible for the management and direct oversight of the processes in production, filling, labeling, and packaging areas.

• Perform a variety of skilled work in the maintenance and repair of plant and buying point facilities and equipment; prioritize, schedule, assign and coordinate the work of assigned staff to accomplish a wide variety of duties related to the plant.
• Maintain tools and shop in a clean and sanitary condition for use within a shelling facility.
• Assist in the purchase, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring and fixtures. Perform troubleshooting to repair or replace fans and motors and perform repairs to motors, bells, clocks and lighting circuits.
