Description OFI is seeking a self-motivated individual for a critical position in our Bolingbrook, IL Cocoa Processing Facility and Warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality food manufacturing operations. This role involves setting up material, performing routine checks, troubleshooting minor issues, and adhering to safety and food quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities of the Production Worker Include:
- Stage material used for blending
- Verify and record type of material and lot numbers being used
- Safely lift, open, and dump bags of ingredients into an automatic conveying system
- Housekeeping in a powder grinding plant to maintain clean and orderly work area to follow GMP and Food Safety standards
- Complete paperwork for GMP and inventory control
- Communicate with process operator throughout the shift
- Assist Packaging as business dictates including forklift work
- Comply with all company Safety, GMP, Quality, policies and procedures
- Follow, lead, and demonstrate ofi’s Safety and Quality principles
Duties and Skills:
- Operate production equipment in a safe, productive and efficient manner at all times
- Assist in upgrading existing processes and procedures
- Setup, adjust, troubleshoot and control equipment to manufacture product safely while meeting all quality standards
- Provides support to all functions including quality and warehouse daily; outside of original job scope if needed
- Effective communicator, verbal and written, to all levels of the organization
- Highly organized, and detail oriented
Position Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED, required.
- Computer proficiency to learn other applications with basic instruction
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Able to lift 55lbs
- Basic math skills
The pay for this role in the state of Illinois starts at $22.91/hour and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on candidate’s experience, qualifications and/or other determining factors.
