The ideal candidate will have prior general knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and can follow both verbal and written instructions.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;"> </span></div><div><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: rgb(34,34,34);">Position Responsibilities</span></b></div><ul style="margin-top: 0.0px;"><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Care and maintenance of all equipment and production assets in a safe, sanitary, and efficient condition.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems (to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, gas, or air required for operations).</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Be readily available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Observes/inspects mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Safely dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts (LOTO).</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Repairs or replaces defective parts.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Lubricates and cleans parts.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Starts devices to test their performance.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Sets up and operates, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts with proper training and experience.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Initiate/completes work orders through Maximo for parts and machines.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Complies with all safety rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Perform other duties as assigned.</span></li></ul><div><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;"> </span></b></div><div><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Position Requirements </span></b></div><ul style="margin-top: 0.0px;"><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Must have 5 years’ experience in the mechanical field.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Have experience using the Internet, and spreadsheets, and MRP preferred.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Certificates pertaining to the job such as: Certified Welding Certificate, Journeyman Machinist Certificate, Boiler Training Certificate &amp; Better Processing School preferred.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Understanding of Production processing and Quality Control Measurements.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos;
