        <![CDATA[<p><b>Description</b> </p> <p>Reporting to Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Technician will repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines/equipment. The ideal candidate will have prior general knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and can follow both verbal and written instructions.</p><p>A Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of electromechanical systems and equipment. They play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and systems.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p>· Care and maintain all equipment and production assets in a safe, sanitary, and efficient condition.</p><p>· Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems (to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, gas, or air required for operations).</p><p>· Be readily available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations.</p><p>· Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required.</p><p>· Observes/inspects mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.</p><p>· Safely dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts (LOTO).</p><p>· Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.</p><p>· Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.</p><p>· Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.</p><p>· Repairs or replaces defective parts.</p><p>· Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.</p><p>· Lubricates and cleans parts.</p><p>· Starts devices to test their performance.</p><p>· Sets up and operates, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts with proper training and experience.</p><p>· Initiate/completes work orders through CMMS for parts and machines.</p><p>· Complies with all safety rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines.</p><p>· Perform other duties as assigned.</p><p>Equipment Maintenance and Repair:</p><p>· Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues with electromechanical equipment.</p><p>· Perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.</p><p>· Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, sensors, switches, and wiring.</p><p>Installation and Calibration:</p><p>· Install new electromechanical equipment and systems.</p><p>· Calibrate equipment to meet specified performance criteria.</p><p>· Ensure proper alignment and integration of mechanical and electrical components.</p><p>Testing and Evaluation:</p><p>· Conduct tests to evaluate the performance and functionality of equipment.</p><p>· Use various tools and instruments for measurement and analysis.</p><p>· Document test results and make necessary adjustments.</p><p>Documentation and reporting:</p><p>o Experience using SAP maintenance systems preferred.</p><p>· Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.</p><p>· Create reports on equipment status, maintenance history, and recommendations for improvements.</p><p>· Provide feedback to engineering teams for design enhancements.</p><p>Safety Compliance:</p><p>· Ensure all equipment and systems meet safety standards and regulations.</p><p>· Follow safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.</p><p>Collaboration:</p><p>· Work closely with engineers, other technicians, and production staff to resolve technical issues.</p><p>· Participate in project teams for equipment upgrades and modifications.</p><p>Troubleshooting:</p><p>· Identify and troubleshoot complex technical problems in electromechanical systems.</p><p>· Implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.</p><p>Training and Support:</p><p>· Train and mentor junior technicians or operators on equipment operation and basic maintenance tasks.</p><p>· Provide technical support to production personnel.</p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>· Associate degree or vocational training in electromechanical technology, electrical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</p><p>· Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.</p><p>· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and instruments.</p><p>· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</p><p>· Basic PLC troubleshooting skills is preferred.</p><p>· Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.</p><p>· Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and drawings.</p><p>· Strong communication and teamwork skills.</p><p>· Adaptability and willingness to learn about new technologies and equipment.</p><p>This role is performed on site at a facility that regularly processes tree nuts. And whoever we’re with, whatever we’re doing, we always <b>make it real</b>.</p><p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p>Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic will perform repairs and preventative maintenance. This position will assist with industrial equipment troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service. A large amount of preventative maintenance may require the take down of the entire production line and going through piece by piece to ensure that the worn pieces are replaced, and that all items have been repaired. There may be fabrication, welding, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical work. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform periodic inspections, testing, and adjustments necessary to maintain the processing systems in peak operating condition. This position will perform all these duties while adhering to ofi’s safety principles and procedures.</p><p><b>Position Responsibilities</b></p><ul style="margin-top: 0.0in;"><li style="">Perform the tasks associated with a preventative maintenance program which include cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, visual inspections, minor repairs and calibrations necessary to maintain equipment, machinery, and associated hardware at required intervals.</li><li style="">Troubleshoot and perform major mechanical repairs such as changing motors, pumps, gearboxes, belts, sprockets, pulleys and many other aspects of a mechanical repair.</li><li style="">Perform root-cause fault diagnostics on mechanical systems to identify and correct machinery and/or system failures.</li><li style="">Perform basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.</li><li style="">Address and repair urgent breakdowns as quickly as possible while maintaining company standards for employee and food safety.</li><li style="">Prioritize repairs of any urgent safety or food safety concerns.</li><li style="">Ensure the safety of self and other persons entering the work area.</li><li style="">Communicate daily with others on maintenance team in order to provide timely repairs and preventative maintenance on machinery.</li><li style="">Perform complete daily inspection and walk through of all aspects of production lines.</li><li style="">Maintain accurate written record all repairs, Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and maintenance checks.</li><li style="">Assist in maintaining accurate parts inventory and organization.</li><li style="">Properly fill out purchase requisitions for any maintenance related parts/supplies.</li><li style="">Follow all safety, health &amp; environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.</li><li style="">Responsible for maintaining company's commitment on providing quality products and services with an emphasis on Employee Safety, Food Safety, Legality, and Integrity.</li><li style="">Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><b>Position Requirements</b></p><ul style="margin-top: 0.0in;"><li style="">High school diploma or GED is required.</li><li style="">Two (2) years' work experience in the food manufacturing industry, repairing and maintaining packaging equipment, electrical controls, and ancillary equipment is required.</li><li style="">Industrial Technical courses in maintenance/electrical repair is required.</li><li style="">Must possess strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.</li><li style="">Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond well to instruction and supervision.</li><li style="">Must be available to work flexible shifts, hours, and overtime when required. </li><li style="">Forklift driving experience a plus. Must become a certified Forklift Driver</li><li style="">Ability to properly lift, push and pull up to 75lbs.</li><li style="">Ability to work in confined spaces, at high elevations, atop ladder or man lift, on the roof, and underneath equipment.</li><li style="">At times be required to work in awkward positions in order to perform such repairs (bending, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, etc.)</li><li style="">Ability to work in industrial conditions; hot, cold, wet, etc.</li><li style="">Ability to wear required personal protective equipment is required.
