The Packaging Supervisor will act in accordance with the laws and regulations, by practicing ofi values, ensuring compliance of policies, procedures, and plant rules. </span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;"> </span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">The ideal candidate for the Packaging Supervisor role will have a proven success record with leading and motivating teams. A successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and priorities.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;"> </span></div><div><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: rgb(34,34,34);">Position Responsibilities</span></b></div><ul style="margin-top: 0.0px;"><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Responsible for the management and direct oversight of the processes in packaging and the warehouse.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Guide and direct the work assignments of Boardman hourly port employees which includes temporary employees. </span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Assist with interviewing and selecting candidates, onboarding, and training of new employees. </span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Manage daily expectations and provide ongoing feedback on performance to team members.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Execute activities within the scope of the Packaging Supervisor to achieve departmental objectives, support business strategy, and achieve or beat the annual budget.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Maintain and ensure effective communication with the Warehouse Manager and other department leaders. Ensure feedback is provided to appropriate leadership on performance, progress, issues and concerns, and financial variances that may impact goals or budget.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Maintain real-time communication with other operational department leaders ensuring problem-free operations in Warehouse, Maintenance and Facilities.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Partner with Quality to ensure the requirements of the Quality Systems, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rules, and that all production areas comply with audit/inspection expectations.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Ensure applicable operational processes are followed.<span>  </span>Proactively review the established processes, identify improvement opportunities, and make recommendations to the Warehouse Manager.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Ensure production areas are compliant with the established Internal Control System.<span>  </span>Support audit, inspections, and inquiries.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Advise on packaging plan to meet inventory and shipping goals and advise promptly if issues arise. </span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Perform accident investigations, document findings and share findings with appropriate teams.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Monitor and manage applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to sustain and improve operation areas as necessary, this can include but is not limited to: Performance Metrics, Safety, Quality, Service, Efficiency, Waste, Cost, and Savings.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Actively observe and monitor materials and labor to achieve optimum capacity and overall cost reduction.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations regarding occupational health and food safety.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Assign, adjust and create process orders in SAP.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Check and verify orders in packaging plan are being followed to specifications</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Track daily packaging output.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Perform food safety inspections, monitor, and assist sanitation/QA employees to ensure proper sanitation (HAACP and GMPs).</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Participate in daily meetings to report on safety, quality, packed and shipped numbers for the Port location.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Ensure the building is maintained in such a manner as to protect inventory from damage, vandalism or food safety.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Coordinate, assist and conduct performance evaluations for hourly team members.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Review daily packaging operations with packaging lead, QA representative and material handlers with respect to overall efficiency, product requirement and current established packaging schedule.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Perform other duties as assigned.</span><b></b></li></ul><div><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;"> </span></b></div><div><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;"> </span></b></div><div><b><span style="font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Position Requirements </span></b></div><ul style="margin-top: 0.0px;"><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Bachelor’s degree in Food Processing, Engineering, Food Science or Business Administration is preferred. In lieu of degree, five (5) years of equivalent experience in operation management, Engineering, or food manufacturing will be accepted.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Three to Five years of progressive management experience is preferred. </span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Proven ability to effectively manage and train teams is required.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Strong computer competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;color: black;">Proven track record of advancing initiatives without direct line authority is required.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, is required.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Bilingual, English and Spanish, is highly preferred.</span></li><li><span style="font-family: Calibri , sans-serif;">Ability to work well under pressure with competing demands in a team environment is required.</span></li></ul>]]>
