Position Summary
Reporting to the production Supervisor, the Exterior Facility Clean Up will be responsible for performing miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that buildings, ground and all facilities are regularly maintained.
The ideal candidate will perform a wide variety of janitorial and general duties to maintain the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the facility in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintaining buildings and grounds in top condition.
- Provide coverage for Facility Cleanup for days off and absences.
- Maintain exterior facility clean up tool shed.
- Ensure outside drum room waste hopper area and drum dump is regularly cleaned of any excessive onion waste.
- Maintain drum holding area, de-chime and crush damaged drums for recycling.
- Monitor bailer and empty as needed.
- Empty metal recycling hopper of de-chimed drum rings when full.
- Weed Control (inside and outside perimeter).
- Empty all outdoor garbage containers as needed (Mill picnic area, dehy picnic area, front office, shipping receiving office, etc.).
- Monitor Waste Management garbage/recycling containers and Western Metals .container and communicate to front office when they need to be replaced.
- Supply breakrooms with bottled water as needed.
- Utilize Zamboni sweeper on parking lot and all areas of asphalt.
- Utilize the push magnetic sweeper in all parking lot and asphalt areas of the facility to remove all nails and foreign objects.
- Ensure pallet storage area is regularly cleaned and organized by size and all damaged pallets are neatly stored separately in stacks of twenty.
- Ensure that the production storage area is regularly maintained and organized.
- Inspect and maintain battery fluid/charge levels on golf carts.
- Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
- Raise and remove flags each morning prior to start of shift and each evening prior to end of shift.
- This position is not limited to those duties in the job description. Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced, or deleted to meet the business needs of the organization.

Position Requirements
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs. consistently throughout a shift.
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, department Leads and Supervisors.
- Ability to work overtime as required. Shift work and weekends may be required.
- Work is performed inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.
- Ability to work in fast paced and noisy production environment.
- Ability to take direction from the department leads and work in a team driven atmosphere.
- Ability to wear all appropriate PPE.
- Successful Completion of Powered Industrial Truck Certification Training.
- Understand and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety regulations.
- Ability to wear and use all assigned personal protective equipment (hard hat, gloves, eye protection, ear plugs and steel toe footwear/nonslip, etc.).
