Position Summary
 
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Material Handler will be responsible for moving product and material throughout the facility.
 
 
Position Responsibilities
 
  • Dump all raw products which will require heavy lifting.
  • Open bags/totes to dump the product.
  • Operator the overhead hoist.
  • See that all equipment is properly used and maintained. 
  • Practice safe work habits and know how to use protective devices.
  • Keep the shift supervisor fully informed of all problems.
  • Execute special projects and other job-related activity as needed.  
  • All employees are directly responsible for the quality of OEN products. Each employee must perform their job function in accordance to the GMP Rules ant the Sanitation, Safety and HACCP Programs.
  • Must follow safe work practices and comply withal company, federal and state rules and regulations which apply to the job, including but not limited to, Right to Know, emergency evacuation, electrical safety, confined space, bloodborne pathogens, and lockout/tagout.
  • Sanitation responsibilities
    • Keep the platform clean.
    • Maintain cleanliness in the inbound raw product area and the pre-cleaning area.
    • Keep all areas assigned to you on the sanitation schedule clean and maintained.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
 
Position Requirements
 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions. Understand written and oral communications and instructions. Initiative and self-starting ability is important
