Position Summary:
 
The Pest Control Supervisor will assist with implementation and management of all aspects of the Pest Control program and ensure that the objectives established by management, regulatory programs and project plans are met. Must be willing to perform primary duties during weekend production shutdown.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate written records of chemical and pesticide usage, dosage, storage, and treatment dates.
  • Fumigates enclosures with toxic gases.
  • Places poisonous paste or bait and mechanical traps where pests are present.
  • Cleans areas that harbor pests in preparation for insecticide application/fumigation.
  • Ability to execute an Integrated Preventive Pest Control Program.
  • Maintain and review all pest control and food safety documentation to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Makes suggestions for and carries out pest control program for all plant areas, and buildings.
  • Inspects plant and grounds to ensure compliance to program standards.
  • Develops and conducts plant audits.
  • Reviews audits of plant inspections and implements corrective actions to be taken.
  • Directs personnel in execution of pest-control procedures.
  • Responsible for inventory control / ordering of pest control program equipment and materials.
  • Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Certified Applicator License required
  • Pest and Commodity Fumigation Certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or like field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Pest Control Management required.
    • Two to five years’ supervisory experience.
    • Food manufacturing experience preferred.
    • Experience in Safety and Food Safety programs required.
  • Knowledge of various analytical techniques and procedures used in the food industry. 
    • Strong people management, communication, motivational, and customer service skills.
