Position Summary

As a Summer 2025 Intern, you will have opportunities to learn and contribute to what’s on trend in food & beverage while building a robust network, demonstrating leadership skills, and having fun along the way.
Reporting to the Regulatory Manager, the Regulatory Affairs Intern will work on projects to improve leadership, problem solving, and critical thinking skills, while working closely with the regulatory team on projects related to development of retail food labels and support management through mapping processes defining document handling and storage.
Position Responsibilities
- Support the Regulatory & Compliance function for the label development and label review process.
- Identify source documents for raw material specifications, internal specifications, customer specifications, graphics, and supporting documentation (for example, claims validation paperwork)
- Audit documents pursuant to audit checklist provided by Regulatory & Compliance
- Participate in CAPA (corrective action/preventative action) as directed.
- Audit documentation supporting food retail labels as directed.
- Create process map for storage and updating of specification documents and related paperwork (for example, claims validation paperwork).
- Document criteria for RACI charts related to label review and development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, working towards a bachelors of science degree or higher in Food Science, Pre-Law or related with regulatory emphasis.
- Ability to research, review, and understand legal and technical documents related to the food industry.
The pay for this role in the state of IL is $22 HR and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location
