Position Summary
This position is responsible for the correct operation of the case forming/packing equipment within manufacturers and company specifications. Document case quality inspections, ensure product quality through the packaging process and effective communication with co-workers. Strong emphasis on cross-contamination prevention, GMP's and food safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to utilize mechanical skills (at the operator level), demonstrate ownership, and be an asset to the team by possessing a teamwork attitude.
Position Responsibilities
• Accurately packing of products into correct case trays/fiber and/or specific packaging sizes and containers.
• Ensure accuracy of coding - with correct product code.
• Effective communication with QC and Production Supervisor to ensure product quality.
• Perform case former/packer set-up and validation (start-up documentation) to ensure equipment is prepared for production.
• Package all products in accordance with cross-contamination prevention procedures, Current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Food Safety regulations.
• Perform equipment cleaning, operations, and completion of documentation.
• Keep production area controlled and organized.
• Actively participating in “centerline” and/or any other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Keeping production area controlled and organized.
• LO/TO procedures and awareness.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist in general plant clean-up as needed.
• Assist with packaging quality checks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
The pay for this role in the state of CA is $23.35/ hr and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on candidate’s experience, qualifications and/or other determining factors.
