Position Summary 
The Production Team Lead will oversee multiple lines and ensures operations begin and end at the scheduled times and jobs are completed safely within the allocated time frame for a designated line. This position will timely escalate any employee issues including, but not limited to Safety, Food Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Productivity. 
Position Responsibilities 
  • Ensure and verify the different line Teams are ready for production before the start of every shift.
  • Educate, model, and reinforce a safety and food safety culture to the facility
  • Partner with supervisors to ensure work is completed safely and timely
  • Ensures team members adhere to all quality requirements including, but not limited to Safety, Food Safety, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Company policies/procedures
  • Validate and ensure compliance with established food safety and quality objectives through daily monitoring programs, team supervision, partner with quality team when issues arise
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to support plant operations
  • Make recommendations on how to improve workflow, production methods, equipment performance and product quality 
  • Conduct incident investigations, ensure reporting procedures are followed and any identified preventative actions are timely completed  
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance to include timeliness
  • Maintain the company's commitment to providing quality products and services with an emphasis on integrity, accuracy  and inventory controls   
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable safety, quality, regulatory and environmental regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements 
  • High School Diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate required.
  • Two (2) years of food manufacturing experience with a proven record that displays the ability to lead and supervise.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Skilled in developing productive, collaborative working relationships across departments and with customers.  
  • Strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting, and executing simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at intermediate level; MS Outlook at an intermediate level. 
  • Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems in a timely manner. 
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to quickly resolve issues and communicate to team members effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts. 
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, overtime and weekends as required. 
 
The pay for this role in the state of CA ranges from $23.00 - $30.00 and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on candidate’s experience, qualifications and/or other determining factors.
