Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Batch Maker will operate the designated piece of equipment once all training requirements have been met. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter who is capable of learning and following all processes as well as safety policies and Good Manufacturing Policies (GMPs).
Position Responsibilities for Flumes, Brine, and Batch Processes
- Look at the specification for the code running
- Check and make sure on the proper ingredients in the formulation
- Check and make sure the right temperatures are set
- Check and ensure the proper portions of ingredients and formulation
- Apply ingredients to the kettle in proper portions mentioned above
- Check and make sure acidification are according to specification
• Record processes in proper document and quality control records
• Escalate discrepancies to Lead or Supervisor immediately
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Must demonstrate basic understanding of machine operation and process under direct supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read or write in either English or Spanish. Bilingual preferred.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and taste or smell.
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
