Position Summary 
Reporting to the Shift Production Supervisor, Production workers come to work on-time every day, to the assigned area.  They assist in all labor processes and procedures and help produce a variety of savory products. 
Position Responsibilities
  • Complete many possible assignments on the production floor: inspecting, sorting, cleaning, packaging, mixing ingredients, cooking, helping machine operators, occasionally writing simple reports and or filling up spaces in prepared sheets, and others duties. 
  • Follow safety procedures and report injuries or near misses to lead or supervisors immediately.  
  • All assignments require our team members to follow company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices to meet our customers’ expectations and help maintain a safe and healthy work environment. 
  • Follow housekeeping procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 
  • Understand written or verbal instructions or job duties, follow instructions thoroughly, ask questions if necessary, be engaged in the work, and be a partner in producing the finest Olam products. 
  • Pick-up and carry products up to 40 pounds unassisted, and work standing-up for as much as an entire shift (12 hours).
  • Work in a light industrial and somewhat warm environment (during summer) or cool areas (during the winter).
  • Have ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies and requirements.
