Position Summary
 
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, the Sanitarian will keep building clean and orderly. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning equipment, floors, walls and removing debris.
 
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and possess the ability to clean and sanitize floors, walls and other building surfaces. Ideal candidate must be willing to walk and stand up to 8 hours per day, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds. Operate floor sweeper. Must be dependable, a team player and have good communication skills.
 
Position Responsibilities
 
  • Clean, sweep, vacuum, dust and/or mop corners and wall/floor joints in the warehouse and packaging area.
  • Sanitize all operators push buttons.
  • Wipe down, clean and sanitize plastic curtains with cleaning agents and rags.
  • Pick up and depose of debris, trash, and other foreign materials on exterior of building.
  • Remove material and debris from trash totes and place into dumpsters.
  • Remove dust from material handling devices.
  • Perform cobweb inspection and removal in all facility buildings.
  • Inspect walls, floors, control panels, electrical boxes for bugs and report any evidence of such.
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop or remove sand and other materials from in front of and around interior and exterior doors in warehouses.
  • Vacuum loading docks areas to remove debris and other unwanted materials.
  • Inspect bays/rows to identify foreign material, bugs or other materials that violate Food Safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
 
  • No formal education required
  • 6 months - 1 year of experience desired
