Position Summary
Reporting to NA Application Support Manager, the SAP FICO Support Analyst will support both the Finance and Controller functions in daily/period-end closing activities. They will own and develop the Configuration of the SAP FICO functions to ensure timely and accurate closing activities and financial reports. This role will manage projects for Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) by analyzing and mapping business requirements, processes, and objectives in SAP to improve business function and output results. This ideal candidate should be well-versed in the configuration of SAP. Strong functional knowledge in Accounting and Costing will be essential to success. The candidate should possess strong problem-solving and innovative thinking skills.
Position Responsibilities
- Sort out day-to-day queries of end users in SAP.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand business requirements and then develop and map solutions in the SAP system.
- Analyze and provide functional support for reports, interfaces, and enhancements. Prepare design documents and detailed specifications for Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP).
- Manage configuration of SAP FICO settings (FI-AA, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-GL, CO-CCA, CO-PC, CO-ML, PS, etc.) and Integration with other SAP Modules(SD, MM,PP, etc.,)
- Coordinate with cross-functional team members to resolve issues and provide solutions in SAP.
- Provide training to new users on SAP transactions & processes.
- Prepare the Business Blueprint Document for implementation of projects.
- Prepare business processes flow and end-user training documents of SAP processes for the business team.
- Support Finance controllers in Standard Cost Estimation rollouts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required, and a major in Finance or Costing is strongly preferred.
- Certified management accountant (CPA/CMA) is highly valued.
- Experience is S/4HANA is mandatory.
- Previous business/ manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience with SAP FICO with at least two end-to-end implementation projects is required. An understanding of accounting business processes is required.
- Must possess excellent knowledge in the following areas:
- Finance New General Ledger, asset accounting, accounts payable (must have Automatic Payment Program exposure), and accounts receivable.
- Product costing.
- Cost center and Internal order accounting.
- Controlling Profitability Analysis (COPA).
- Integration of Finance and Controlling modules with other modules.
- Bank Accounting (preferably to have experience in H2H & In-House Cash Management).
- Taxation.
- Material ledger & Actual costing
- Good understanding of Master data.
- Good knowledge of Fiori Apps.
- Good understanding of CDS view in S/4 Hana.
- Should have good knowledge and understanding in Management reporting.
- Strong skills in Excel (able to perform all basic functions such as Pivots, V-lookup, and formulas) are required.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills are required.
- The ability to be adaptable, capable, self-motivated, and confident is required.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Accounting Standards (IAS) & USA Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) are required.
