Position Summary
NA Application Support Director plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and user satisfaction of the organization's SAP system. Responsible for supporting day-to-day IT functions associated with SAP and other applications. Key member of the IT NA Leadership, Should possess strong problem-solving and innovative thinking skill sets. Be the single point of contact responsible for SAP and related application support.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide direction and leadership to application support analysts, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to effectively address issues.
- Lead a team aligning them with' strengths and expertise.
- Manage team performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide coaching.
- Be the main person, the business team escalates issues to and ensure their concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Oversee the process of identifying, prioritizing, and resolving SAP system incidents reported by users.
- Lead the team in identifying root causes of recurring issues within the SAP system and implementing solutions to prevent them.
- Manage the process of implementing SAP system changes, ensuring proper testing and minimal disruption to users.
- Oversee user access controls and permissions within the SAP system.
- Track and analyze key metrics related to SAP support performance, identifying areas for improvement, and providing reports to stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (business users, IT teams) and external vendors to ensure efficient support delivery.
- Maintain a deep understanding of SAP technology and stay updated on the latest functionalities and best practices.
- Ensure the support team consistently meets the agreed-upon service standards for response and resolution times.
- Regularly compile reports on the support team's activities and identify trends or areas needing improvement.
- Analyze and provide functional support for reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
- Manage the configuration of SAP logistic execution settings and Integration with other SAP modules.
- Support and provide guidance to cross-functional team members to resolve issues and provide solutions in SAP.
- Provide training to new users on SAP transactions & processes.
- Oversees documentation (SOP, Processes flow, user guides).
- Test scripts/case preparation, user manual preparation, unit and integration testing.
- Responsible for the implementation of current and new localization in USA into SAP.
- Responsible for managing Non-SAP applications (Agricultural management systems.
- Other SAP systems Concur Travel, Integrated business planning (IBP), HR systems for the region.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience with SAP Business Suit 4 HANA(S/4HANA) is required.
- Experience with ITSM (Information Technology Service Management), agile, and waterfall methodologies.
- Experience in project management.
- Previous business/ manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Good Understanding of FIORI apps
- Working knowledge of CDS views (Core Data Service)
- Ten(10)+ years of experience with SAP Logistic execution with at least two end-to-end implementation projects is required.
- An understanding of accounting business processes is required.
- Must possess excellent knowledge in the following areas:
- Strong knowledge in warehouse management (purchasing, inventory, and pricing procedures) and warehouse functionalities (structure, RF scanning solution, put away and picking strategies, storage unit and transfer orders Cross module functional knowledge between WM-MM, MM-FICO, MM-SD, and MM-PP/QM
- Hands-on experience in ITS mobile developments, label printing, nested HU, WM cycle inventory, batch management, consumption-based planning, consignment process, release strategies and procurement
- Strong skills in Excel (able to perform all basic functions such as Pivots, V-lookup, and formulas) is required.
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills are required.
- The ability to be adaptable, capable, self-motivated, and confident is required.
