Position Summary     
    
Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, the Director, Private Label Business Development (BDM) is responsible for achieving assigned sales targets in volume and contribution, and new partnership objectives, aligned to our corporate and departmental strategy. The team objective is to build relationships with new and existing customers across channels focused on growing business within the private label coffee business unit.      
The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years’ experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods market, and will be based in the US.      
    
Position Responsibilities    
  • Develop new business opportunities/relationships, which include target accounts, prospecting, cold calling and qualifying new leads, meeting new potential customers, and making sales presentations to potential customers focused on Private Label sales growth
  • Develop, maintain, and update a strategic and tactical account plan, by customer, for volume capture
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives across assigned account base
  • Utilize support teams within Club Coffee and ofi platform colleagues to maximize customer impact
  • Lead efforts of all internal stakeholders using strong communication and system tools (Salesforce)
  • Work closely with Product Commercialization team to develop and launch new products which support our customer growth plans
  • Follow through on key account demand planning initiatives & objectives
  • Contribute to internal processes for alignment on customer needs and production (SIOP)
  • Track progress toward established goals and communicate results to appropriate team members
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships with timely and professional follow up
  • Provide assistance and support as needed to internal stakeholders
  • Understand, apply and actively participate in maintaining product quality and food safety program practices including BRC, HACCP, QA / QC, GMP, Sanitation and good hygiene practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements     
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferred majors in Business, Management, or related studies
  • Must have 10 years’ of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods market; 3 years’ of experience in the Coffee Category required calling on US Retail market preferred.
  • Private Label and Southern Retailer experience preferred –  i.e. Target, HEB, Publix, Wegmans 
  • State issued driver’s license and clean driving record is required
  • Strong working knowledge of US Retail market within the Grocery, Club, Mass Merchandisers Channel preferred
  • Well organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as independently is required
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point required
  • Ability to travel is required (approximately 40% of time)
