Position Summary  

Reporting to the Yard Lead, the Warehouse Operator will ensure the warehouses are clean, equipment is functioning properly in the warehouses and farmers stock is dumped into the correct warehouse location.  


Position Responsibilities  

• Report and correct any issues that will affect the quality of the stored farmers stock peanuts.
• Maintain cleanliness of the assigned work area to meet the requirements on the sanitation schedule.
• Notify the supervisor of any issues than pose a risk to food safety, such as oil leaks, metal filings, etc.
• Monitor the operation of the warehouse equipment to ensure proper function and prevent equipment damage and fire hazards.
• Ensure all equipment is running prior to dumping farmers stock into a dump pit to prevent blockages and equipment damage.
• Must be trained on the safe operation of truck lifts and recognize mechanical and safety issues.
• Ensure ventilation fans are running as needed for proper airflow in the stored peanuts.
• Ensure that warehouses and bins are properly cleaned and treated to prevent mold and pest issues.
• Coordinate with the pest control team and licensed pesticide applicators to ensure proper pest proper pest control procedures are being followed.
• Maintain the warehouse storage in accordance with the Safe Food Plan, Preventive Controls, and Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Understand ofi Peanut Shelling safety policies, work safely and report any safety hazards or unsafe conditions to the Plant Manager or Safety Coordinator.
• Follow ofi Peanut Shelling Company Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) guidelines.
• Follow all ofi Peanut Shelling Company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Preventive Control Rules, and Occupational Safety Rules.
• Perform any duties as assigned.  


Position Requirements  

• High school diploma/GED preferred.  

• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience preferred.  

• Ability to work as part of a team.  

• Good communication skills.  

• Physical dexterity.  

• Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
