Position Summary     

     

This role will report to the Senior Vice President, Operations for North America and functionally report to the Global Head of Quality & Food Safety. This role will be responsible for QFS strategies across North and South America    

     

Position Responsibilities    

  • Active participant and leader in the global QFS Leadership Team
  • Support the global Centers of Expertise (COEs) as required
  • Provide leadership, direction and support for of Quality and Food safety across America to ensure effective QFS compliance.
  • Develop and implement a Food Safety strategy and programs for all platforms across the Americas consisting of approximately 24 manufacturing sites.
  • Drive shared goals and targets across the region
  • Collaborate with BU Business Heads, Operations Team, Innovation Team and extended management teams to achieve ofi QFS goals.
  • Develop a high performing America QA and Food Safety
  • Continue the development of the ofi Quality and Food Safety Management System.
  • Define KPI’s for food safety and quality for the American organization and cascade across all sites
  • Communicate and ensure alignment and shared accountability to achieve shared KPI’s.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and develop effective quality management processes across the value chain to meet their expectations.
  • Build capability & career plans for the QFS organization.
  • Drive a culture of empowerment on in QFS
  • Quickly respond to food safety and quality issues reported, identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.

     

 Position Requirements     

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science or relevant subject is required. MS degree strongly desired.
  • Deep knowledge of the food manufacturing industry and experience working within Operations.
  • A proven track record in driving change and developing people
  • 15+ years of experience in Quality leadership role
  • 10+ years of experience within the Food industry is required.
  • Ability to communicate broadly and ability to work cross-functionally is required.
  • Ability to lead through influence both globally and across the Americas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • The ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time is required.
  • Portuguese and Spanish fluency is preferred
