Position Summary
Reporting to the Quality & Food Safety Manager, the QA Documentation Specialist will create update and maintain the controlled documentation needed for the Food Safety Global Standard certification. The direct participation in the Food Safety Plan revision, the control of specifications for Finish Product and ingredients are also required.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a quality assurance department or similar role.
Position Responsibilities
  • Review and maintain the FDA process fillings records.
  • Review and maintain the Process Authority letters.
  • Review, update and maintain Controlled Documents.
  • Review and complete the Self-Assessment check list for the Food Safety Global Standard System in coordination with the Quality & Food Safety Manager.
  • Internal Audits program revision and follow up in coordination with the Quality & Food Safety Manager.
  • Review, update and maintain the finish product specifications.
  • Receive, review and maintain the Ingredients Certificate of Analysis.
  • Receive, review and maintain the packaging specifications.
  • Direct participation in the Food Safety traceability exercises.
  • Direct participation in the Food Safety Plan revision in coordination with the Quality & Food Safety Manager.
  • Support the Quality & Food Safety Manager with customer, certification and federal audits/inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preventive Controls Qualified Individual Certification
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Computer Experience Required
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
  • SAP Experience, preferred
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to understand simple instructions both written and verbal
  • Ability to perform simple math problems, as well as compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
