Position Summary
Primary Work to include working as a liaison between the Packaging, Planning and Warehouse Departments. Review Daily Process Orders for the Packaging Dept. Monitor and verify the daily consumptions of raw materials and Packaging Materials into Packaging process orders. Monitor Packagings Daily Finished goods receipts. Monitor Plannings Order Sequencing with Shippings Customer Confirmed Pick up appointments. Train as a backup to the Shipping Clerk who will arrange and coordinate all appointments for freight leaving the plant through designated Olam freight carriers and Customer arranged carriers, based on prearranged ship dates which correspond with Customers delivery windows. Using the SAP software, the Shipping Clerk record the deals of all shipments leaving the plant
Position Responsibilities
  • Generate Process Orders and Paperwork for the Packaging staff
  • Verify all completed Process Orders from Packaging
  • Coordinate the Packaging Priority list to ensure all Confirmed Shipping appointments are completed timely
  • Confirm all Material used to complete Customers PO during Packaging process
  • Plays a major role in Inventory control for both Finished Goods and Packaging Material through Daily adjustments and Paperwork accuracies
  • Confirm and return all Material not used during packaging process to WHS Inventory 4444 area & PKLO process
  • Communicate with Planning any shortages and request additional Material as needed
  • Must have a Strong working knowledge of the SAP software
  • Must have Strong Math, Communication, and Organizational skills
  • Generate Logistic information for reports as needed for Packaging, WHS leads and Management
  • Respond to Calls, voice mails and E-mails from inside and outside sources involving packaging needs and looking to schedule Pick-up appointment
  • Schedule appointment times for all inbound and outbound shipment and deliveries
  • Tender Loads to Carriers which Olam has Freight Responsibilities
  • Publish a daily Appointment log showing the daily expected shipments
  • Compile the loading packet used by the loaders
  • Greet and check in all Carriers to include arrival time, SO# and dispatch time
  • Create the Bill of Lading and Packaging slips for all Shipments
  • Generate Customs Documents for shipments leaving the country
  • Provide Carrier with all necessary Documents as the Carrier Dispatches
  • Seal Container and Trailers as part of Olams Food Safety Policies
  • Generate Inbound labels and receive into SAP
  • Publishes Daily Shipping Log to Corp Transportation groups and Plant Leadership
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Work closely with other production employees to assist in monitoring the accurate reporting of all production per the SAP barcode scanners.

  • Organization of all Shipment to and from the plant
  • Data entry of all transactions in the SAP system
  • Creation and Filing of all Information showing movement of Finished goods and Receipt of Materials
  • Work Safely
  • Have very strong Math, Computer and Organizational Skills
  • Work closely with other logistic employees to assist in monitoring the accurate reporting of all product movement through SAP and the barcode scanners.
  • Manage Shipping requests
  • Maintain a High Standard of Quality

The pay for this role in the state ofCA is $22.50/hr. and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location.
