Position Summary      
   
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Cleaner Operator operates, maintains, and cleans the cleaner equipment in accordance with company Safety/Food Safety requirements.  
 
Position Responsibilities  
Follows all Olam Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Preventive Controls Rules, and Occupational Safety Rules.    
  • Monitors, cleans, and maintains the operation of all the various cleaner equipment used to separate damaged product and foreign material from good product and maintain APSA grades.    
  • Monitors, cleans, and maintains various pieces of equipment used to clean unshelled peanuts located in shelling plants and maintains the sanitation of the entire facility as needed.    
  • Extensive climbing and lifting    
  • Requires employees to disassemble and reassemble various pieces of equipment within the cleaning department and assist with equipment maintenance as needed.  
  
  
  • Completes various jobs assigned to him/her daily including communicating with other colleagues regarding operation of equipment, changes in flow rates, processing capabilities, bin readings safety and maintenance issues, paperwork, sanitation, maintenance, safety assignments and food safety requirements.     
  • Perform other duties as assigned.    
   
Position Requirements   
 
  • High School Diploma or GED required    
  • Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience    
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions    
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time    
  • Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)
