Reporting to the Finance Controller, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for managing and coordinating the monthly closing and related reporting, as well as the forecasting, budgeting, and operational reporting for Olam Peanut Shelling. The candidate will be charged with challenging the status quo, improving processes, providing accurate and timely information, and helping identify and execute opportunities.
Serve as a strategic Business Partner to multiple facilities.
Produce month end close. Manage and review journal entries, account reconciliations, process order closure and allocations.
Compile and report quarterly results.
Review perpetual inventory, physical inventories, and reporting and analysis of variances.
Provide audit support, both to internal and external auditors.
Perform cost accounting for process costing including absorption rates, cost estimates, product set-up, activity rates, and SKU profitability.
Manage the sites financial reporting including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, operational, Spending and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Dashboard, and various cost projects.
Manages parts of the seam interface with SAP.
Prepares annual property tax returns and reconciles them with the books.
Assist in Internal Reviews by leading internal monthly meetings with Key Stakeholders.
Manage new capital project analysis, capital tracking and management.
Perform sales analysis and reconciliation of Sold Position, absorption of cost drivers, and Exposure report.
Perform ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
Five (5) years progressive finance experience is required. Candidates substituting experience in lieu of degree must have a minimum of eight (8) years of financial experience, including the five in management.
Experience with SAP, Tableau, and other integrated reporting solutions is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
Excellent teamwork, relationship building, and coordinative skills are required. Must be able to work with diverse team across geographies.
Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required.
